"Silt laiden waves break and race in, forcing a flock of Sanderling to dash higher up the sandbank.  They pause and start to feed amongst the lumbering forms of Grey Seals, which are clustered along the tide line as far as the eye can see"

"Winter sunshine can burn strong in February.  It splashes dappled patterns on tree and leaf litter.  Three Roe deer, two bucks and a doe rest amongst the crisp bracken and tumbled large twigs on the steep sided gorge.  Bathed in warmth they snooze and occasionally scratch as they digest their breakfast.  Relaxed they hardly twitch an ear as dogs bark and play on the opposite river bank.  Social creatures at this time of year mixed groups of eight or nine animals can be seen grazing in the early morning light.  They soon merge into the woods and hedgerows where they spend the daylight hours."
